UPPSC PCS 2020 Notification

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the official UPPSC PCS 2020 Notification for Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Exam 2020, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) or Range Forest Officer (RFO) Services Exam 2020 at uppsc.up.nic.in for the recruitment of 200 vacancies in the civil services. According to UPPSC PCS 2020 Notification, the posts included in the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination, the candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification up to the last date for receipt of application. The post wise educational qualification is given below:

Post Graduate Degree in Psychology or Sociology or Social Work or any qualification equivalent thereto or Post Graduate Diploma in any Branch of Social Work from any recognised Institute of Social Work.
9.
Child Development Project Officer
Graduate Degree in Sociology or Social Work or Home Science or any qualification equivalent thereto recognised by the Government.
10.
Designated Officer/ Food Safety Officer
(1) Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry as one of the subjects from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto, or (2) Atleast one of qualification prescribed for Direct Recruitment to the post of Food Safety Officer given as below: A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognised University, or any other equivalent/recognised qualification notified by the Central Government, Provided that no person who has any financial Interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety Officer.
11.
Statistical officer
Post Graduate Degree in mathematics or Mathematical Statistics or Statistics or Agricultural Statistics from an university recognized by Law in India or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
12.
Labour Enforcement Officer
Bachelor’s degree with Economics or Sociology or commerce and Post Graduate Diploma or Post graduate Degree in Law / Labour relation / Labour welfare / Labour Law / Commerce / Sociology / Social work / Social welfare / Trade Management / Personnel Management.
13.
Assistant conservator of Forest
A Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subject namely Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, Forestry, Statistics or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a University established by Law in India or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time, or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto.
14.
Range Forest Officer of Forest
A Bachelor’s Degree with two or more of the subjects, namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Geology, Agriculture, Statistics, Horticulture and Environment or Bechelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science from a University established by Law in India or possess a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

UPPCS Salary/ Pay Scale

  • As per UPPSC PCS 2020 Notification: The pay scale of all posts under the combined state services exam except the ACF/RFO is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
  • Under the Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination the Pay-Scale, grade pay and status of Post are given as below:
  • Assistant Conservator of Forest- Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-, Grade Pay- Rs.5400/-, (Level 10 in the pay matrix Group) Group “B”, Gazetted.
  • Range Forest Officer Services Examination- Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/-, Grade Pay – Rs.4800/-, (Level 8 pay matrix 47600 – 151100) Group “B”, Gazetted.

As per UPPSC PCS 2020 notification: In the ON-LINE Application process, after completing the procedure of first stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in second stage.

UPPSC PCS Selection Procedure

  • As per UPPSC PCS 2020 notification: prelims and mains exam will be conducted offline across the state.
  • The UPPSC PCS selection procedure has 3 stages:
    1.  Prelims (objective & MCQ)
    2.  Mains (Written)
    3. Personality Test (Interview)

UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam Pattern

  • As per UPPSC PCS 2020 notification: The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2020 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shift.
  • The total marks allotted for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours.
  • The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) is 150, while Paper-2 (General Studies II) will have 100 questions.

Personality Test (Interview)

  • The Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE) will constitute of 100 marks.
  • The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, general suitability for the service, some general knowledge questions and current topics.
