Rawalpindi ki flat pitch aur England ki "Sunday League" jaisi fielding ne milkar Pakistan ki doobti naiyya ko paar lagaya hai. Ek waqt par 81 runs par 4 wicket gawa kar zaleel hone ki kagar par khadi Pakistan ne jaise-taise 302 runs board par laga diye hain. Agar England ke fielders ne catching practice ki hoti, toh shayad kahani kuch aur hi hoti. Magar janab, ye Pakistan cricket hai, yahan logic se zyada kismat aur dushmani se zyada dushman ki galtiyan kaam aati hain.
The Guru Story
Match ki shuruat hi dhamakedar rahi jab Fakhar Zaman ne match ki pehli hi ball par Joe Root ko catch thama diya. Gus Atkinson ki ball par zero par out hokar unhone bata diya ki unka "Zaman" ab purana ho chuka hai. Iske baad Saim Ayub ne bhi wahi purani galti ki aur short ball par Sonny Baker ko wicket uphaar mein de di. Game awareness ki itni bhari kami dekh kar lag raha tha ki Pakistan ki team aaj jaldi dinner karne ke mood mein hai.
Lekin asli comedy toh tab shuru hui jab Babar Azam crease par aaye. Duniya bhar ke "King" kahe jaane wale Babar Azam ko Will Jacks ki modest spin ne aise nachaya jaise koi shaadi mein baraati nachta hai. Ek seedhi skidding ball ne unka off stump ukhad diya aur Babar Azam ek baar phir bade match mein "Flop Show" dikha kar chale gaye. Salman Agha ne bhi sirf 16 runs banaye aur Adil Rashid ko wicket gift kar di.
Yahan se shuru hua Hasan Nawaz aur Arafat Minhas ka show. Hasan Nawaz ne 79 runs ki behtareen innings kheli, lekin isme England ka bada haath tha. Gus Atkinson ne unka ek lollypop catch chhoda jab wo sirf 28 par the. Iske baad Arafat Minhas (59) ko toh 3 baar jeevandan mila: kabhi Jordan Cox ne catch chhoda toh kabhi Tom Banton aur Ben Duckett ne boundary par relay catch ka mazak bana diya. Faheem Ashraf ne ant mein 39 runs ki tez innings kheli aur Shaheen Afridi ke 10 runs ki badaulat Pakistan 302 tak pahunch gaya.
Analysis & Numbers
- Pakistan recovered from a disastrous 81 for 4 to reach a par total of 302 for 9.
- Hasan Nawaz scored his career-best 79 off 74 balls, hitting four sixes.
- England dropped as many as 4 clear chances, gifting Pakistan nearly 100 extra runs.
- Sonny Baker was the pick of the bowlers for England with figures of 3 for 65.
- The partnership between Arafat Minhas and Faheem Ashraf yielded 72 runs in just 49 deliveries.
The Guru Gyan Verdict:
Let's be real: Pakistan didn't play "Masterclass" cricket, they were just lucky that England fielded like a bunch of amateurs. Babar Azam's technical flaws against spin are now a public prophecy, and the top order remains as fragile as a house of cards. While 302 is a decent score in Rawalpindi, Harry Brook and his boys have the batting depth to chase this down if they keep their heads cool. Pakistan needs early wickets, or else this "charity total" won't save them.
