Iyer ne toss ke waqt bataya ki surface mixed-soil wicket hai aur team ko abhi exact idea nahi hai ki pitch poore match mein kis tarah behave karegi. Unhone possible dew ka bhi zikr kiya, lekin saath hi clear kiya ki India ka immediate focus pehle bowling karne aur opening phase mein wicket ko samajhne par hai.

Naman Dhir Gets His First T20I Opportunity

India ne batting aur bowling options ka balanced combination field kiya hai. Abhishek Sharma aur Sanju Samson top order mein hain, jabki Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer aur Tilak Varma batting unit ka core form karte hain. Shivam Dube, Naman Dhir aur Axar Patel team ko multiple options dete hain, jabki Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav aur Mayank Yadav bowling attack ka hissa hain.

West Indies Also Hand A Debut To Kamil Pooran

Why Shreyas Iyer Preferred Bowling First

Shreyas Iyer ke toss comments se clear tha ki decision sirf conventional chasing preference par based nahi tha. India mixed-soil surface ke early behaviour ko evaluate karna chahta hai, aur captain ne expected bounce ke saath possible dew ko bhi discussion ka part banaya.

Iyer ne kaha ki dew baad mein aa sakti hai, lekin team us stage ke baare mein zyada aage nahi dekh rahi. India ka first task West Indies ko batting ke dauran pressure mein rakhna aur conditions ke hisaab se apne bowling resources use karna hoga.

Shai Hope Would Have Bowled First Too

West Indies captain Shai Hope ne bhi toss haarne ke baad kaha ki unki preference pehle bowling karne ki hoti. Hope ke mutabik India mein chase karna generally useful ho sakta hai, especially jab dew match ke later stages mein factor bane aur wicket progressively better ho.

Hope ne adaptability ko West Indies ke liye key factor bataya. Unhone kaha ki har set of conditions different hota hai aur players ko uske mutabik adjust karna padta hai. Unke according squad mein experienced aur younger players ka combination hai, aur senior members se naye players ko support dene ki expectation rahegi.
