Jake Weatherald Ka Red-Ball Return Duck Se Shuru

Australia Test squad se drop hone ke baad Jake Weatherald ke paas Sheffield Shield mein South Australia ke liye red-ball cricket mein strong response dene ka mauka tha. Lekin Victoria ke khilaf unka first innings sirf six balls tak chala aur left-handed opener bina koi run banaye pavilion laut gaya.

Victoria ne apni first innings mein 244 runs banaye the. South Australia jab reply karne utra, tab team ko opening pair se stable start ki zarurat thi, lekin second over mein hi Weatherald ka wicket gir gaya. National-team setback ke turant baad aaya ye dismissal unke red-ball comeback ke liye frustrating beginning sabit hua.

Harry Hoekstra Ne Kaise Kiya Weatherald Ko Dismiss

Victoria captain Peter Handscomb ne early breakthrough ki talaash mein Harry Hoekstra ko bowling di. Hoekstra ne Weatherald ke against pressure immediately build kiya aur five consecutive dot balls daalne ke baad over ki final delivery par wicket hasil kar liya.

Delivery good length par off stump ke aas-paas pitch hui aur Weatherald se door move hui. Weatherald front foot par commit hue, lekin ball ko leave karna hai ya play karna hai, is decision mein unka movement uncertain raha. Unhone aakhir mein delivery par bat lagaya aur outside edge wicketkeeper Liam Blackford ke paas chala gaya, jahan straightforward catch complete hua.

Australia Test Team Se Bahar Hone Ke Baad Bada Domestic Chance

Weatherald ke liye Sheffield Shield ka ye phase important hai kyunki woh Australia Test setup se bahar hone ke baad domestic red-ball cricket mein apni position dobara strong karne ki koshish kar rahe hain. Story ke mutabik, unhe recent Test failures ke baad Australian squad se drop kiya gaya tha.

Unka first opportunity expected response nahi de saka. Ek opener ke liye new ball ke against early phase naturally important hota hai, aur Victoria ke khilaf Weatherald six deliveries tak score nahi kar sake. Hoekstra ne unhe line aur movement ke through pressure mein rakha aur over ke end tak breakthrough hasil kar liya.

Test Career Mein Weatherald Ka Recent Struggle

Weatherald ne Ashes 2025-26 ke dauran Test debut kiya tha. Supplied story ke numbers ke mutabik, unhone 201 runs score kiye aur unka average 22.33 raha. International level par ye return unke liye consistent opening position establish karne ke liye enough nahi raha.

Australia ki Bangladesh ke against home series mein Weatherald ko Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed aur Shoriful Islam ke pace attack ka saamna karna pada. Story ke according, unhone ek innings mein 37 balls par 23 runs banaye, jabki Darwin Test mein ek innings mein duck record kiya.

Darwin Test Australia ne nine wickets se lose kiya tha. Story ke mutabik, Bangladesh series ke baad Weatherald ki continuing lean patch ne unke Test squad se exit ka raasta banaya.

White-Ball Mein 92, Red-Ball Mein Six-Ball Duck

Weatherald ke recent domestic numbers ek interesting contrast dikhate hain. Victoria ke against Sheffield Shield duck se pehle unhone Tasmania ke against One-Day match mein 90 balls par 92 runs ki strong innings kheli thi.

Story ke mutabik, national side se place lose karne ke baad unhone do innings mein across formats 92 runs score kiye, jisme poore runs Tasmania ke against One-Day innings se aaye. Iske turant baad red-ball cricket mein unka score zero raha.

Ye contrast Weatherald ke current challenge ko clearly highlight karta hai. Limited-overs cricket mein substantial score ke baad Sheffield Shield ke first innings mein unke paas momentum ko longer format mein transfer karne ka chance tha, lekin Victoria ne unhe immediately rok diya.

Weatherald Ke Liye Aage Kya Mahatvapurn Hai

Ek six-ball duck apne aap mein kisi player ke poore domestic campaign ko define nahi karta, lekin Weatherald ke case mein timing is innings ko significant banati hai. Woh Australian Test squad se recently bahar hue hain aur Sheffield Shield unke liye red-ball form establish karne ka direct platform hai.

Tasmania ke against 92-run One-Day innings ne dikhaya ki Weatherald domestic level par substantial score produce kar sakte hain. Ab attention is baat par rahegi ki woh upcoming red-ball opportunities mein kaise respond karte hain aur early dismissal ke baad apne innings-building process ko kitni jaldi reset kar paate hain.

Victoria ke against first attempt fail hua, lekin domestic season mein aage milne wali innings Weatherald ke liye zyada meaningful sample provide karengi. Filhaal unka post-Australia red-ball return ek unwanted duck ke saath shuru hua hai.
