Bangladesh Women's Cricket mein ek bade badlav ka aagaz ho chuka hai. Left-arm spin ki jadugar aur wickets ki machine kahi jaane wali Nahida Akter ko ab team ki kamaan saunpi gayi hai. Yeh faisla tab aaya hai jab team ko ek naye vision aur aggressive leadership ki sakht zaroorat thi. Purani captain Nigar Sultana ka daur khatam ho chuka hai aur ab focus hai young blood aur consistency par.
The Guru Story
The BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) ne officially announce kar diya hai ki Nahida Akter ab Bangladesh T20I team ki nayi leader hongi. Unhe filhaal ek saal ka term diya gaya hai. Nahida ka pehla imtehan agle mahine ICC Women's Emerging Nations Trophy mein hoga. 25 saal ki yeh spinner na sirf ball se kamaal karti hai balki field par unka attitude bhi kaafi proactive rehta hai.
Nahida ne Nigar Sultana ko replace kiya hai. Sultana ne 82 matches mein leadership ki lekin pichle kuch samay se unka form aur captaincy dono hi sawalo ke ghere mein thae. Specially Pakistan ke khilaaf matches mein Nahida ka record itna khatarnak hai ki shayad isi wajah se BCB ne un par bharosa jataya hai. Yaad dila dein ki Nahida wahi player hain jinhone Pakistan ki batting line-up ko tinke ki tarah bikher diya tha.
Wahin dusri taraf, batting department ko mazbooti dene ke liye Sobhana Mostary ko Vice-Captain banaya gaya hai. Mostary ne haal hi mein Australia ke khilaaf ODI century thok kar itihaas racha tha, aur unka promotion team mein ek balance lekar aayega.
Analysis & Numbers
- Nahida Akter is currently the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in T20Is with 132 wickets at an incredible average of 17.38.
- Unka best bowling figure 5 for 8 hai, jo unki lethal spin bowling ka saboot deta hai.
- Nahida ne Pakistan ke khilaaf hamesha Masterclass dikhaya hai, chahe wo 2023 ka five-wicket haul ho ya T20 World Cup mein unki crucial 3 wickets jisne Pakistan ko ghutno par la diya tha.
- ODI format mein bhi unke naam 81 wickets hain, jo unhe ek genuine match-winner banate hain.
- Nigar Sultana ne 32 matches jeetne ke baad step down kiya hai, lekin unka behaviour stump mic par aksar controversy create karta tha, jo team ke atmosphere ke liye thoda toxic ho raha tha.
The Guru Gyan Verdict:
Nahida Akter ko captain banana ek smart move hai. Nigar Sultana ground par apne teammates ko scold karne mein zyada busy rehti thi aur cricket par kam, upar se Pakistan se haarne ke baad unki captaincy par sawal uthna lazmi tha. Nahida is a silent killer who lets her ball do the talking. Unka dominance over Pakistan is pure gold, aur humein umeed hai ki wo apni kamaan mein bhi unhe isi tarah dhoti rahengi. Bangladesh women's cricket needs discipline, and Nahida is the right person for the job.
