Cricket ki duniya mein ek purani kahawat hai: Ghamand toh Ravan ka bhi nahi tika tha. For years, the world feared the mighty Australia, but right now, they look like a shadow of their former selves. Newlands ke maidan par jo hua, woh sirf ek haar nahi, balki ek humiliation hai. South Africa ne unhe aise dhoya jaise Sunday ko ghar mein kapde dhote hain. Captain Pat Cummins ne accept kiya hai ki ab changes toh honge hi kyunki performance ka level bilkul "Un-Australian" ho chuka hai.
The Guru Story: Cape Town Mein Aussie Collapse
Sabse bada sawal ab Marnus Labuschagne par uth raha hai. Ek waqt tha jab log unhe naya Don Bradman bolte the, par ab halat yeh hai ki 16 innings se ek half-century tak nahi aayi hai. Cape Town mein 0 aur 4 ke score ke baad unka position untenable lag raha hai. Legend David Warner ne toh Kayo Sports par unfiltered gussa nikaala hai: unhone is performance ko "disgraceful" aur "deplorable" tak keh diya. Jab Pat Cummins se Warner ke comments ke baare mein pucha gaya, toh unke paas koi jawab nahi tha. Captain ne bas itna kaha ki ab team ke style aur personnel dono mein change ki zarurat hai.
Analysis & Numbers: The Downfall of World Champions
- Rankings Disaster: Australia dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 in Test rankings within a few months.
- Batting Failure: 99 all out in St George's Park and another massive collapse in Cape Town shows the lack of grit.
- The Labuschagne Slump: 16 Test innings without a single 50 plus score for the former No. 1 batter.
- Bowling Struggles: Despite having a legendary attack, Australia failed to bowl out South Africa cheaply in the second innings when it mattered most.
- WTC Table: Their position in the World Test Championship is now under serious threat after losing 2-1.
The Guru Gyan Verdict:
Honestly, Australia ko ab mirror mein dekhne ki zarurat hai. You cannot call yourself the best in the world if you can't survive 90 overs on a day-five pitch. Pat Cummins ki captaincy par bhi sawal uthenge: winning the toss and bowling first on a surface that was always going to turn? This is a tactical blunder. Agar South Africa ke spinners ne inka yeh haal kiya hai, toh imagine karo jab yeh India ke khilaaf khelenge: Ravichandran Ashwin aur Ravindra Jadeja toh inka dinner kar jayenge. It's time for some ruthless axing, especially the dead weight in the batting order.
