Harare ke maidan par wahi hua jiski umeed thi: Total Dominance. West Indies Women ne Zimbabwe ko unke hi ghar mein dho kar rakh diya. Ye sirf ek jeet nahi thi, balki ek Masterclass thi by one of the greatest to ever grace the game.
The Guru Story
Zimbabwe ne toss jeeta aur pehle batting karne ka faisla kiya. Opener Kelis Ndhlovu ne koshish toh bohot ki aur ek shandaar 63 runs ki innings kheli, lekin unhe dusre end se wo support nahi mila jo ek bada total khada karne ke liye chahiye hota hai. Powerplay mein Zimbabwe ne 40 runs banaye the aur lag raha tha ki shayad aaj ye team West Indies ko takkar degi.
Halanki end mein Christine Mutasa ne thoda attack kiya aur Zimbabwe ko 142 tak pahunchaya, lekin ye total Windies ke liye bilkul bhi kaafi nahi tha.
Analysis & Numbers
- Stafanie Taylor has become only the fourth woman in history to complete the double of 3000 runs and 100 wickets in T20Is.
- The middle overs dominance: West Indies scored 85 runs in the overs 7 to 16, while Zimbabwe managed only 61 runs in the same period.
- Stafanie Taylor bowling figures were a clinical 2 for 8 in 4 overs: an economy rate of just 2.00.
- Kelis Ndhlovu scored her fifth T20I half-century, but her 63 off 48 balls went in vain due to lack of support.
The Guru Gyan Verdict:
Zimbabwe needs to learn how to handle pressure in the middle overs. For Windies, it was a walk in the park. Clean sweep was inevitable.
