Social media par apne witty memes aur tactical brilliance se fans ka dil jitne wale Wasim Jaffer ab ek naye avatar mein nazar aa sakte hain. Indian cricket ke domestic legend ne officially BCCI ke senior national selector post ke liye apply kar diya hai. Ye move tab aaya hai jab Ajit Agarkar ke tenure ke baad selectors ki gaddi khali hui hai. Agar Jaffer select hote hain, toh wo sirf ek selector nahi balki pure committee ke Captain yaani Chairman ban sakte hain.
To kahani ye hai ki:
Former India opener Wasim Jaffer ne PTI se confirm kiya hai ki unhone vacant selector post ke liye apna application bhej diya hai. BCCI ke rules ke mutabik, selection committee ka Chairman wahi hota hai jisne sabse zyada Test matches khele ho. Is race mein Jaffer ka palda sabse bhari nazar aa raha hai kyunki unke paas 31 Test matches ka experience hai. Unhone Pragyan Ojha ko piche chod diya hai jinke paas 24 Test caps hain.
Ab decision Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) ke hath mein hai, jisme Ashok Malhotra aur Jatin Paranjape shamil hain. Jaffer ka aana Team India ke liye ek Masterclass sabit ho sakta hai kyunki unhe grassroots level aur domestic cricket ki ragg-ragg ka pata hai. Jab hamare padosi desh Pakistan mein selectors har dusre mahine badle jate hain aur wahan ki selection committee kisi comedy circus se kam nahi lagti, tab India ek aise legend ko dhund raha hai jiske paas patience aur vision dono ho.
