Cape Town ke maidan par Australia ki buri tarah pitayi hui hai. 176 runs ki humiliation ke baad series 2-1 se South Africa ke naam ho chuki hai. Lekin skipper Pat Cummins ka confidence alag hi level par hai. Woh keh rahe hain ki unki team "really good" hai. Bhai, results toh kuch aur hi kahani suna rahe hain. Pichle 7 Tests mein 4 haar aur No. 1 ranking ka haath se nikal jana koi "really good" side ki nishani toh nahi hai.
The Guru Story: Cape Town ka Khauf aur Kangaroos ka Collapse
History repeats itself, aur Australia ke liye yeh kisi nightmare se kam nahi tha. 288 runs chase karte waqt poori team 111 runs par dher ho gayi. Mazaak ki baat dekhiye, No. 10 batsman Nathan Lyon ne team ke liye sabse zyada 33 runs banaye. The exact same thing happened 15 years ago jab Australia isi maidan par 47 runs par all-out hui thi aur Nathan Lyon hi top scorer thay. Some things never change, especially Australia ka collapse on spinning tracks.
Skipper Pat Cummins ne post-match presentation mein kaha ki woh "relatively happy" hain apni team ki progress se. Unka manna hai ki away series hamesha tough hoti hain. Magar sawal yeh hai ki Durban mein pehla Test jeetne ke baad momentum itni buri tarah kaise loose kiya? Marnus Labuschagne ki form ab ek national concern ban chuki hai. 49 innings se koi century nahi aur 16 innings se ek half-century tak nahi aayi. Cape Town mein 0 aur 4 ke scores ne unki jagah par bade sawal khade kar diye hain.
It is not just about batting. Pat Cummins ne toss jeet kar pehle bowling karne ka faisla kiya jo unke gale ki haddi ban gaya. 4th innings mein Simon Harmer ki spin ke samne Travis Head aur Alex Carey ne loose shots khel kar wicket tohfe mein diye. Jab Captain khud bowling mein struggle kar raha ho (series average 54.66), toh discipline ki umeed kis se karein?
Analysis & Numbers: Dominance turned into Disaster
- Australia has slumped to 3rd position in the WTC table following this series defeat.
- South Africa has officially dethroned Australia as the No. 1 ranked Test side in the ICC rankings.
- This was Australia's fourth loss in their last seven Tests, including a home loss to England and Bangladesh.
- Marnus Labuschagne's century drought has now extended to 49 Test innings.
- Simon Harmer decimated the Aussie lineup with a match haul of 10 wickets.
The Guru Gyan Verdict:
Pat Cummins ka "Good Side" wala claim sirf ek defensive mechanism lag raha hai. Facts clear hain: Australia is in a state of decline. Marnus aur baaki batters ka lack of application chinta ka vishay hai. Agar home series mein New Zealand ke khilaaf bhi yahi haal raha, toh WTC Final ka sapna chur-chur ho jayega. Captain ko stats dekhne ki zaroorat hai, sirf positive vibes se match nahi jeete jaate.
